How is Camp ReCreation funded?
  • Camp ReCreation operates as a nonprofit
    organization and is self-funded through generous
    donations and the collection of camper fees



  • The camper fee covers only a portion of the direct
    costs for each camper
In 2009, the $475 fee covered only 52% of the
actual cost per camper
Camp ReCreation absorbs the difference for
every camper
  • Camp ReCreation's belief and practice is that no camper will ever be turned away
    because they are unable to afford the cost
Camp ReCreation provides financial support to campers in need up to the full
amount of the camper fee
In 2009, Camp ReCreation provided the funding for 54% of the direct costs for
campers, amounting to over $43,000 in addition to other indirect costs and
operating expenses
